Briolette (rounded tip)
What is a Briolette? The briolette is very popular in jewelry. The briolette is a cut that has triangular facets all the way around the surface and is cut in a teardrop, pear shape, or oval. The shape is a pleasing one and with the faceting, the briolette is generally an especially sparkling stone. The oval briolettes are especially popular today in many different types of jewelry, and the teardrop briolettes are even found in bracelets although most briolettes are found in necklaces and earrings.
